Strategy for warriors?

Hi,

Someone asked me to get the following buildings for a warrior country. But I feel it would get attacked a lot by thieves (and I'm getting attacked :D ). Can someone suggest a better building plan for a warrior country?

35-40% Barracks
10% Forts
10% Temples
10 Inns
10 Store
7 Smithy
5 Banks
Rest houses/farms

Also I heard there's a calculator for calculating the offense/defense of a country for the hungarian version. Is it available for Queosia also?

Thanks.

It is good for giant, i think :) but the giants don't need to have 10 inns, just 1.
i haven't heard the calculator in english language...just hungarian :( but I think, we could help to fill the hungarian version's field and translate :)

but I have some questions before the better building plan...
what is about the market? are there any materials or the jusuf's market is empty?
it is empty i suggest the dwarf with some mines..

but if there are a lot, and you have money for buy it (or rich countries exist around you to loot) i suggest the giant :)
give me an acres number, and I give a plan :)

Acres around 700 right now...and gnome/warrior. Was originally a giant/warrior but had to change as my scrolls were stolen repeatedly..

There used to be a calculator in English (3rd party, not one made by us), but as I recall, even the Hungarian version was pretty inaccurate in some cases. So I don't know of any up-to-date calculators.

There are Excel spreadsheets around however, they should not be too hard to translate. Does anyone have one of those?

Did you use your special spell? I can hardly believe that someone could steal your scrolls if you used the spells. Or the loss have to be minimal.

Yeah I was using my spells and still my mages got killed and all my scrolls got looted twice... not complaining though.. I had my revenge :p
But just not able to get the right balance between mages/thiefs for my country.

Szecsa 03-29-2007 16:33

Well, are you in an alliance or lone wolf?

cooldude 03-29-2007 16:37

Lone-wolf.

laci 03-29-2007 16:54

I think a lone wolf sage giant would be better than a gnome with the same personality. But it is strange, with the siesta on they shouldn't be able to steal ALL of your scrolls...

Szecsa 03-29-2007 17:08

I agree with laci.
The giant would be better...I give you a plan for 700 acres.

Giant Sage
House 128 19% 8960 population
Barck 281 40% 9240 Elit / Horse
Farm 85 13% 6885 bushels / round
Store 5 1% 118,48 rounds are covered
Fort 105 15% 5880 Archer (in fort)
Temple 75 11% 10500 Mages
Inn 1 0% 56 Thieves
Bank 5 1% 0
Smithy 15 3%
700 acros
Score: 32122 points

Consumed food: 6927,2 bushels / round
Employment: 91%

I think, you can loot with this troop, and you have to buy the metal for the training.

You know, the library key of the gnome is only protecting your scrolls, what is very useful, but with only 10 inns you will be completely unprotected against all other thievery actions.
So if you want to keep the gnome as your race, you'll definitely need more inns.

I agree, around 10% inn is ideal for a gnome. I try to give you a buliding list for a gnome. I think in Queosia the wanderer personality is the best for a lone wolf. You can attack with minimal risk, 2 rounds are better than +5% in my opinion.

So back to the buildings :)

House 19%
Barrack 35%
Farm 13%
Store 1%
Fort 5-10%
Temple 8%
Inn 8%
Bank 10
(but if you dont store too much money in your country you dont need to hold any banks)
Smithy 3%
Library 3%

Thanks. I will try out with Penya's building plan for now as I think I cant change back to Giant/sage till I move to next level ...

Also it would be great if any of you can post that Hungarian calculator .. I will try and translate it to the English version!

Thanks again.

The problem is that the last update of that calculator was made back in 2005... so it is a pretty old version. Check it here: www.archer.hu there, under the "Letöltés" you'll find the "Hódító" downloadable calculator. Good luck with it :)

You're welcome :)

2 more things: I think it would be good if you wrote a mail to Archer asking him if you can translate the calculator (you know, copyrights and such stuff ;) ). You'll find his adress on the same homepage, under "Kapcsolat".
The other: if you need help with the translation, open a new topic, and post there all of your questions, and we will help as soon as possible.
